For decades I have been adversely affected, both personally and professionally, by Health Canada's constraints on our freedom to choose natural health products. Bills C-51 and C-52 are an alarming implementation of the pharmaceutical agenda to reduce competition, without respecting our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
In so many areas government has become our master rather than our servant, and
the underlying cause is always the same. Once politicians are elected, we have
little control over what they do. We need to take back this control in order to
restore our rights and freedoms in every aspect of our lives. When I am elected,
I will be serving you and you alone.
No hidden agendas.

Canada cannot be citizen focused without Direct Democracy Initiatives
In political science, the initiative (also known as popular or citizen's initiative) provides a means by which a petition signed by a certain minimum number of registered voters can force a public vote on a proposed statute, constitutional amendment, charter amendment or ordinance, or, in its minimal form, to simply oblige the executive or legislative bodies to consider the subject by submitting it to the order of the day. It is a form of direct democracy. It has also been referred to as "minority initiative," thus relating it to minority influence.[1] The initiative may take the form [full story] |

Along with the initiative, the referendum, and the direct primary, the recall election was one of the major electoral reforms advocated by leaders of the Progressive movement in the United States during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, although it was initially proposed in William S. U'Ren's Oregon newspaper. Recall elections are currently prohibited in the federal system. The majority of states allow recall elections in local jurisdictions, but only eighteen states permit recall elections to remove state officials. [1] Only two governors have ever been successfully recalled. [full story] |

The victory of the Reform Party on January 24, 1848 was one of the most significant in Canadian history.
The Friendship that Brought Responsible Government The victory of the Reform Party on January 24, 1848 was one of the most significant in Canadian history. For almost a year before the election it had seemed to the new governor general, Lord Elgin, that there was no real political life in Canada at all, as the moribund Tory ministry of William Henry Draper tottered to its fall. Although the Reform (that is to say liberal) Party swept the constituencies like a broom, the principle that the majority party controls parliament was not yet established. Colonial government was still firmly in [full story] |

Eventually, the masses will realize that their only hope for freedom, now that "constant vigilance" is a moot point, will come through mass civil disobedience.
----- Original Message ----- From: David Butterfield To: John Wilson ; Joseph McNicholl Sent: Thursday, January 03, 2008 9:17 AM Subject: Re: Challenge to Bad Laws. Fw: Notification of intention to practice Dentistry Eventually, the masses will realize that their only hope for freedom, now that "constant vigilance" is a moot point, will come through mass civil disobedience. Of course this also means that those masses will have to be committed to "Live free or die." What are our chances of that happening? Guard with jealous attention the public liberty.
"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty.Suspect every one who approaches that jewel.Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force.Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined....O sir, we should have fine times, indeed, if to punish tyrants,it were only sufficient to assemble the people!"-- Patrick Henry(1736-1799) US Founding Father quotes.liberty-tree.ca/quote_blog/Patrick.Henry.Quote.B676 [full story] |

Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.
"Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached, and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of.
